- About Lynne Pilbrow
Lynne has always loved music, and during her formative years she had the great privilege of learning piano, singing, music theory and musicianship. After training as a primary school teacher in Melbourne (Australia), the early years of her career were spent teaching music in government primary schools. On moving to Canberra, she taught music at Canberra Girls’ Grammar Junior School, had children, then taught overseas as an Early Years music specialist at an international school in Bangkok. When Lynne and her family returned to Australia, she set up her FunMusic for Little Kids business, and over the last ten years has taught music to hundreds of Canberra children and their families. She has also been a music teacher at Charnwood-Dunlop School and Pre-School, conducted choirs, tutored in music education at the University of Canberra and has just completed her Masters in Early Childhood Education. Lynne is passionate about raising the profile of music education, believing that every child should be given access to a high quality sequential music program from a young age. Lynne is married to Michael (the best husband in the world), has three teenage children and lives on a 6 acre property in Yass, New South Wales, amongst the sheep and the gum trees!
